Held at Scuppernong Books in Greensboro, NC, this event gave participants an opportunity to hear the book reading followed by a group discussion with the best-selling author of “Freedom on the Menu: The Greensboro Sit-Ins“, Carole Boston Weatherford. Participants received a FREE copy of the book, study guides, a free beverage and snack. Educators were also present to lend insight and guidance for talking to children.
